Mary Comis, graduate assistant in the eXi Lab presented pilot data from Girlhood Rising at the 2020 Council for Exceptional Children Convention & Expo in Portland, Oregon.
Girlhood Rising combines a culturally relevant social emotional curriculum with leadership, advocacy, and positive identity development to support adolescent girls as future change agents in their school.
Girlhood Rising is currently operating in 7 schools in Allegheny County.
